Recommended For : Awesome mille crepes
Catphobia-Friendly? : Yes, thank goodness!

Okay, so we've raved on and on and ON about how obsessed we are with mille crepe here. And well, why wouldn't we? The delicate pastry is so lovingly-made, with all its dainty layers, and effortlessly hits the sweet spot.

Mille crepe is potentially becoming the new macaroon, as is evident by its sudden hushed popularity. Before each random cafe decides to start serving them, it may help to head to Food Foundry to know what it's actually supposed to taste like.

The unlikeliness of its location (the cafe is located on the basement floor of some flats in Section 17. Yeah, pretty unlikely for a kitschy cafe, but we suppose it adds to the kitschiness) may throw some first-timers off, but the throngs of people that are somewhat integral to the cafe may provide an indication of the cafe's worthiness.

Anyway, as we were saying, we usually come here for one reason and one reason only: mille crepe! Although their flavour selection is not exactly vast, our visit here each time still satisfies! We usually stick to our staple favourites: Vanilla (RM9) and Chocolate (RM9)

On our lucky nights, they serve durian-flavoured mille crepe too! Though it's priced at a rather steep RM12.50, one forkful of the creamy dessert and you'll find that it is worth every ringgit! With generous dollops of fresh durian cream in between the dense layers, this dessert is one of the best fusions of French and Malaysian sweets.

They do serve food for lunch and dinner here as well (the Chicken Cordon Bleu is not bad), but if you only have desserts in mind, then this is the right place to be in.
