These Short Ribs At La Boca Are Insanely Good, They'll Change Your Life Forever

Price: Splurge
Cuisine : Latin American
Catphobia-Friendly?: Yes
Pork-Free (restaurant serves alcohol)

We don't always post about the same dish twice, but when we do, it's La Boca Latino Bar's astounding Costilla de Res. Where else can you find short ribs this magnificent?

If you’re in the mood for meat, do yourself a favour and get your butt down to this colourful little corner in Pavilion. With the short rib portion being on average from 400g to 450g, the Costilla de Res platter is priced at a reasonable RM118.

If you’re feeling particularly ravenous, then you may have absolutely no problem working on this wondrous slab all on your own (otherwise, there’s always the tapau-the-leftover-and-make-into-steak-sandwich-for-breakfast option!).

You’d be amazed at just how tender the meat is as your knife glides smoothly through it, and as it glides luxuriantly down your throat. Savour the sweet juiciness of the meat, with its delicious hint of smokiness.

And what’s a main without its faithful sides? Each Costilla de Res platter comes with your choice of two sides and one sauce. For the sides, take your pick from the Chipotle Mashed Potatoes (which we highly recommend!), Mixed Bean Salad, Steak Fries, Tortillas, and even Steamed White Rice.

For sauces, our ultimate favourite is the Spicy Mojo Pican. Tastes like a mind-blowing mix of sour cream and chilli; mmmmm mmmmm!

If you prefer something with a bit of tartness, opt for Chili Pebre (left). For something slightly peppery and herb-y, there’s the Chimmicuri, with an option of mild or hot (right).
