Catphobia-Friendly? : Surprisingly, yes! =D

So the last time we were here, we were on the Life & Times Fabulous Food Hunt. Since time was of the essence, Jules was to gulp down the steaming bowl of crab noodles as inhumanely quickly as possible (we didn't win the race anyway hahaha!). Despite the quick guzzles of the bowlful, the incredible flavours still shone through and we made a mental note to come back.

We finally returned to Mee Ketam KL earlier tonight for dinner, and were fighting back drools just skimming through the menu. We finally settled for the Mee Ketam Biasa (RM9.50) and Mee Ketam Nipah (RM6.50 per 100g, on average the dish would usually serve about 200g - 250g of crab).

The sweet crab stock infused in the thick coconut-ty curry is, what we believe, the defining element that makes this dish so unbelievably good! Hands down, this place serves one of the best curry noodles in town! Our only gripe, however, is the inclusion of artificial meats in the dish, including "crab" sticks and "fish" cakes.

If you're into meatier, sweeter crab meat, then the Mee Ketam Nipah may be more up your alley. The flesh has more of a bite to it, and the generous meat in its relatively humongous claws are definite plus points!

We'll be back to try their Udang Galah version of this noodle dish next time around!
