Dry Beef Glass Noodles @ Taiwan House, Ampang Point

Price Range: Mid-range
Cuisine: Taiwanese
Recommended For: A substantial bowl of noodles
Catphobia-Friendly?: Well, it’s above ground level in a mall, so yeah pretty much!

First world problem: Going to a restaurant you love that is located far away from where you stay/work, and being torn between trying out exciting new dishes or sticking to your satisfaction-guaranteed favourite.

Taiwan House actually has an interesting-looking menu, with quite a range of noodle dishes. There’s even this spring onion pancake thing on their menu; like, how yummy does that sound, right?

Aaaaand somehow we’d go ahead and order the Dry Beef Glass Noodles anyway, EVERY TIME!

What we love about them Dry Beef Glass Noodles:
1.    The generous chunks of brilliantly-marinated, melt-in-your-mouth tender beef
2.    The glass noodles are cooked in this amazing soy sauce-based blend, accentuated with robust bits of chewy, fried garlic and their awesome sambal
3.    The accompaniment of crunchy strips of blanched carrots, French beans and potatoes
4.    Its value: For its generous portion and superb flavours, we have no qualms paying RM11.50 for a bowl

If you’re a Taiwan House frequenter, we’d love to hear from you on other awesome dishes we should try the next time we’re in Ampang Point (assuming we manage to let our manic grip on the Beef Noodles go)!
