Keep your Monday blues at bay with Demi Tasse Cafe!

If you’re working anywhere in the Jalan Raja Chulan / Jalan Pinang area, make sure you stop by this cute cafe for lunch one of these days! With its efficient service and super cheap prices, this is the perfect lunch spot for those with limited time to spare for a meal. The menu consists of not more than 20 items, but they are more than enough for an enjoyable meal.

Beef Lasagne (RM7.20)
We have scoured the whole of KL in search of the perfect lasagne, and no other place comes close to this! Judging by how quickly this dish runs out, we’re sure the crowd here would probably agree with us too ;) It’s soft and cheesy and herby and meaty... it’s simply lasagne done right! There’s also a chicken version for those who don’t take beef.

Chicken Cacciatore (RM7.30)
Though this may not look like much, this dish is also one of the more popular ones at the cafe. It’s basically braised chicken, served with a uniquely-flavoured napoletana sauce on a generous serving of spaghetti (we do have to say that the spaghetti always tends to be overcooked though). The tenderness and juiciness of the chicken and the herby sauce makes this a must-try!

Shepherd’s Pie (RM6.90) Another great dish that you can try! The mashed potatoes are super soft and fluffy, and the filling tastes quite like the napoletana sauce we were going on about earlier. It’s served with some fresh veges and potato salad, just like the lasagne.

The portions here are rather huge, but if you still have room for some desserts, we highly recommend the Brownies with Ice Cream (RM3.90). We love how soft and rich the brownie is, and it’s served warm so the ice cream melts oh-so-nicely over the brownie. =)

Parking in the Wisma Cosway basement is pretty expensive (RM2.50 for first hour, RM2 for subsequent hour) so if you’re working nearby, it might be better to just walk here. =)
