Price Range : Mid-range

Catphobia-Friendly? : Yes
Pork-free

Happiness is craving for desserts and being stuffed with glorious durian pies. If you’re a fan of durian in your sweet treats, The Humble Pie Co’s got you covered.

This is the Duffee (RM 15). Biscuity-buttery crust, topped with deliciously dense durian filling, topped with chocolate-covered cream. Pure perfection.

You can also opt for the Musang King pie (RM 18) but somehow we feel that the durian filling does not have the same oomph as the Duffee.

Then there’s also the much-raved-about Banoffee (RM 12), with its filling of gooey bananas in toffee sauce. Lip-smackingly delectable!

Don’t these pies make an interesting alternative to birthday cakes? You can get them in either 7-inch or 9-inch versions, which leaves us looking for an occasion to celebrate.

The Humble Pie Co does serve some lunch-friendly foods too, ranging from savoury pies, to pastas, to burgers.

We quite like the Mushroom & Chicken Pie (RM 20), with its flaky crust top, and incredibly flavourful creamy chicken and mushrooms.

For a meatless option, there’s the Pesto Rigatoni (RM 15). Not the best around, but pretty decent nonetheless.

So, is pie on its way to becoming the next food thang in the PJ / KL café scene? If so, we await invasion of the pie kind with unbridled anticipation!
