Eat. Write. Win! 

Hmmm.... We are familiar with the first two words, but win prizes for it?

Yep, that’s what the Selangorlicious Foodster Blogging Competition 2011 is all about! We were at the launch of the competition last night at Fullhouse Sunway Giza and were we revved up to start eating! (And blogging. Oh, and of course, winning! Hehe)

A short introduction to what the competition is all about. 

Supported by Tourism Selangor, the mechanism of the competition is super simple: eat at any public outlets in Selangor, write about it, and stand to win AWESOME prizes!

During the launch, YB Elizabeth Wong posed a very interesting question: “When you talk about Penang, images of nasi kandar and char kuay teow pop to mind. If you talk about Malacca, you’d start thinking about Nyonya and Portuguese dishes. But what about Selangor?”

That is what we’re trying to find out, as we’ll be spending the coming month rampaging through eateries in Selangor! (They do feature a whole lot of seafood on their promos. Is that a hint, we wonder? Hehe) We are currently listing down all our favourite places to eat in Selangor, so if you guys know of any awesome places we should try, we highly welcome your suggestions! =D

By the way, the competition has been postponed to 1^st May up to 31^st May 2011, so for those of you who would like a shot at that much-coveted RM5,000 and weekend getaway,  you have a whole month to go exploring before you send in your entries! The competition is open to everyone! Malaysians and expats, bloggers and non-bloggers, the young and the not-so young... literally, everyone! Just sign up for a profile at www.selangorlicious.my and you can send in as many entries as you like!

Entries on the Selangorlicious.my website with the most votes will win a Best of the Week prize. At the end of the competition, entries that receive 3 star ratings or more will be presented to the judges to determine the winners.
