Recommended For : A meaty set lunch
Catphobia-Friendly? : Yep!
Having to fork out a huge sum just for everyday lunch ranks extremely high on our Life’s Top Annoyances list. This became the onset to our growing affection for restaurants that offer great set lunches! Meatworks is one of the places that we feel their noon sets are way worth the price: for only RM10++, you can have a main dish (options of main dishes vary according to day) and a drink!

We went last Thursday, and tried out
their Barbecue Beef Sandwich and Stir-Fried Ginger Beef with Pilaf
Rice. For the price you pay, the portion is actually rather huge. Being a
meaty joint, we had high expectations of the beef sandwich, and it definitely
did not disappoint! The sandwich, generously stuffed with strips of grilled,
almost jerky-like beef, is served with a side salad.
The ginger beef rice was a surprise
favourite: the tender beef slices are beautifully cooked with capsicum, garlic
and ginger in a tangy oyster-sauce base.
As mentioned, the menu changes daily so
there are quite a variety of dishes served as part of their sets! Happy
lunching! =)

Pretty hard to find parking on the rows
along the shop (and don’t even think of parking suka2 hati as the
chances of getting saman is astoundingly high). It’s a better idea to
just park in the basement, it’s only RM1 for the first 3 hours anyway! =)
